At Glow, our Children and Young People’s Team support those aged 5 – 19 who have been affected by domestic abuse.
Some of these young people live in our safe accommodation, while others are living in the community.
Christmas can be a difficult time for those affected by abuse, but thanks to the generosity of local partners, we’re able to make it that little bit easier.
Earlier this year, Uttoxeter-based KP Snacks asked if they could support our children and young people this Christmas.
The company launched an appeal in November and asked their staff to donate items that could be given as gifts.
Donations included toiletries, chocolates, books, and toys, which will be given out to children locally.
We were overwhelmed by the generosity of KP Snacks and want to say a big thank you to the whole team.
KP Snacks said: “This Christmas, we decided that we wanted to support a charity who help children and young people have safe, healthy and loving homes.
“We were humbled by Glow’s work and reached out to ask if we could support.
“We wanted to give something back to the local communities that our colleagues live and work in. We have been overwhelmed by their generosity.”
Education and Prevention Team Leader, Sarah Buckley, will be distributing the gifts to the children supported by her team in the community.
Sarah said: “We are completely blown away by the kindness of the KP Snacks team. We can’t thank them enough for supporting Glow this Christmas.
“They have donated such an amazing range of gifts which will be gratefully received and make a positive difference to the children and young people that we support.”
