Julie Guildford Smith has been appointed as Chief Executive at Stoke-based Honeycomb Group. Currently Strategic Director of Housing at Birmingham City Council, Julie will step into the new role next month (Monday 5 December 2022); taking over the helm from Diane Thompson who has served the business for over 30 years.

The theme for RSE Day 2022 is ‘Everyone Can Sparkle’ and it’s true, everyone can. Whether you’re a teacher, youth club leader or other education professional, you’ll know that for children and young people to find their own individual sparkle, they need to feel comfortable and safe.

Totally Stoked is operated by VAST (Voluntary Action Stoke-on-Trent) and encourages local people and businesses to share their time, skills and knowledge, to support voluntary projects and groups across the city.

This means that dental teams are in a unique position when it comes to spotting the signs of abuse
Dental teams are perfectly placed to spot the signs of abuse. We’re supporting staff to recognise these signs, ‘ask the question’ if they are worried about a patient and safely respond to patient and staff disclosures.

The charitable group donated gifts for the children and young people that we support in our three refuges across Staffordshire.
Earlier this year, Uttoxeter-based KP Snacks asked if they could support our children and young people this Christmas.
The company launched an appeal in November and asked their staff to donate items that could be given as gifts.
The team welcome changes to the Domestic Abuse Bill, which come into place in January 2022.
Changes to the Bill mean that the law will officially recognise children as victims of abuse, rather than witnesses.
