Glow’s Christmas campaign raises more than £2,000 to help women, men and children fleeing domestic abuse

As we enter the new year, we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported Glow’s Christmas fundraising campaign.
Glow trains dental teams to spot the signs of abuse and offer support to patients

On average, 75% of injuries inflicted through domestic abuse occur to the head and neck, areas which dentists see whilst doing routine check-ups.
This means that dental teams are in a unique position when it comes to spotting the signs of abuse
Dental teams lead the way in spotting facial and psychological domestic abuse signs

Dental teams are perfectly placed to spot the signs of abuse. We’re supporting staff to recognise these signs, ‘ask the question’ if they are worried about a patient and safely respond to patient and staff disclosures.
